Overview

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides comprehensive assistance for purchasing technology-related items at Franklin & Marshall College. This guideline ensures that the College remains a responsible steward of its resources while maintaining high standards for security and consistency across campus.

Before you get started

• This document is intended specifically for Employees.

• All technology hardware purchases, replacements, and dispositions are governed by the Technology Hardware Acquisition, Disposition and Replacement Policy.

How to

Purchasing Technology with College Funds

If you need to acquire new hardware or software using departmental or College-allocated funds, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Diplomart portal.

2. Submit your request for the specific technology items required.

3. Once submitted, ITS will review your request to ensure compatibility and policy compliance.

4. ITS will then assist you with the ordering, delivery, and professional set-up of your new equipment.

Personal Technology Purchases

Please note that the College does not provide or fund technology for personal use.  For guidance on using your own devices, refer to the Personal Computing Support Policy.
