Body
Overview
Before you start as a student or employee, you will receive an email that provides you with your NetID and a Claim Code so that you can set up your F&M account. If you can't find the claim code or too much time lapses, please contact the Help Desk to help you with your code so you can set up your account.
Before You Get Started
Franklin & Marshall College has created a NetID and a Google account for your use. The NetID is unique to you, and you will use it to access a variety of computer resources at F&M. Both the NetID and Google accounts use the same F&M password. Make sure you have the email with your NetID and Claim Code (sent from noreply@rapididentity). If you don't have it, please contact the Help Desk.
How To
Claim your account
1. Go to https://id.fandm.edu.
2. Click Claim My Account.
3. Enter your NetID and Claim Code provided in the email from noreply@rapididentity.com.
4. Click Next.
5. Set a password that meets the requirements explained on the screen. Follow the instructions to enter and confirm.
6. Click Next.
7. The system will tell you when your account is set up and Complete.
Troubleshooting
Test your account
After you claim your account, you can make sure it is set up in the system by accessing an application that requires a NetID.
1. Go to mydiplomat.fandm.edu
2. Select the appropriate Persona (student or employee).
- For Students: Click Navigation > MyInfo > Addresses and Phones
- For Employees: Click Navigation > My Info > Update Contact Information
3. Note: If this is the first time you are accessing these options with your account, then you may be prompted to sign in with Duo Multi-Factor Authentication. You can access the directions for that here.
Use the right case
Make sure you use the proper case when entering your netID.
