Overview
Mathematica is a computational software program used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical and computing fields, based on symbolic mathematics. It was conceived by Stephen Wolfram and is developed by Wolfram Research of Champaign, Illinois. The Wolfram Language is the programming language used in Mathematica
Access for Students and Faculty - ON CAMPUS
Our license provides for 30 on-campus computers to run the Wolfram application at one time (concurrent licensing). If you should be blocked from access, it is likely that more than 30 computers are logged on to the application. When you are done using Mathematica you should fully exit the program so others can access it.
Access for Students and Faculty - OFF CAMPUS

Installing and Configuring
Follow the download and install steps and then watch the activation video
For Windows
- Download Mathematica_14.3.0.exe and then run.
- The download manager will down load the full program

- When prompted, click Launch and Yes when prompted to complete installation.
If this is college owned laptop, you must elevate your privileges to install.
For Linux
Wolfram_14.2.1_LINUX.iso
For Macintosh (Computers owned by the College)
College-owned computers can obtain a properly licensed version of Mathematica by opening the JAMF Self Service Tool which should appear in the dock as a circle with the F&M logo.
For Macintosh (Personally Owned)
This is a .dmg file. Double-click it to complete the installation.Mathematica_14.2.1_MAC.dmg
For Macintosh systems with an ARM-based chip (Silicon)
This .dmg file is for use on certain Mac computers. Double-click it to complete the installation Mathematica_13.3.1_MAC.dmg
Using a shared licence
Home-Use Licenses for FACULTY
Mathematica home-use licenses are a benefit of Premier Service for non-student licenses. They are designed to give users who have Mathematica on a work computer the convenience of using it on their home computer as well. Home-use licenses are valid for the Premier Service subscription period only.
F&M Faculty who wish to use a home-use license should contact ITS for a licence key.
